Just like in nature the creation of a geode is one of a kind and cracking one open is always a surprise. With a Geode Surprise, you get to pick something in nature to give me inspiration. Feel free to leave notes about things you love but please remember to keep an open mind and know these notes are up to my interpretation. I will pick the colors but the ice is truly the one in charge!
My style uses a technique called ice dying which involves dying a single piece over 24 hours one drop at a time using the organic flow of melting ice. This means that every single piece is guaranteed to be one of a kind. I can tie the same pattern, place the same colors of dye in the same place on 2 different shirts and they will look entirely different all because the flow of ice is unpredictable. It's a wonderful daily reminder that at times, we do not have control but it will still end up beautiful.
